Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-31

Capo is a Discord bot and website, made and run by Niels (Belgium). This page explains what Capo stores, why, and how to get it deleted.

What Capo stores about servers

The server ID and name, the chosen language and style, and the settings admins pick (such as channel and role IDs and custom texts).

What Capo stores about members

Levels: your Discord ID, XP, the number of messages that earned XP, minutes in voice, and your display name and avatar link (for the leaderboard). Your rank card colour.

Moderation: cases such as warnings, timeouts and bans, with the member and moderator IDs, the reason and the date.

Tickets: who opened a ticket, its subject, status and dates. The full conversation is sent as a file to the server's log channel and to the opener, but it is not stored in Capo's database.

Giveaways (who entered and won) and join-to-create voice channels (who owns them).

Messages

Capo reads messages so auto-moderation, logging and XP work. Message content is not stored in the database; logs only go to the server's own log channel.

Logging in on this website

When you log in with Discord, Capo gets your ID, name, avatar and the list of your servers (scopes "identify" and "guilds"). This is kept in a session for up to 30 days, or until you log out. Capo cannot read your messages or act as you.

The website only uses necessary cookies: your login, your chosen language, and a short-lived security cookie while logging in. No tracking, no ads.

Where and how long

Data is stored on an Oracle Cloud server in Amsterdam (EU). Daily backups are kept for 14 days.

Data about a server is deleted automatically 30 days after Capo is removed from it. Closed ticket channels are deleted after 30 days (configurable).

Data is never sold or shared, except with Discord itself (needed for the bot to work).

Your rights

You can ask what Capo stores about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Contact the bot owner (Niels). Server admins can also reset XP with /xp reset and clear warnings with /clearwarn.
